Original battery can only be purchased at Apple. Anyone claiming they have original battery, it may be missinformation. Although often there is no difference between third party and original, but please note that original can only be purchased directly from Apple. Some suppliers may show off as original battery, but the reality is that these batteries have a board attached to the lithium ion cells, with some programers, you can change the brand name and serial number of the battery to anything you like. So the icon or symbol for the battery doesnt really mean much. Most clients are okay with 3rd party batteries but If you are concerned if you are getting an original battery or 3rd party, only go to Apple for replacement. Also for glued batteries, 3rd party shops replace just the battery vs Apple that replaces the entire top casing and sometimes its more expensive or sometimes worth it, however, getting it done through 3rd party shops are always preferred by clients given the turnaround time of repair and cost as long as you get a good warranty.
